We are seeking a skilled and proactive Level 2 Network Analyst to join our Network Security team. This role focuses on supporting firewall operations, managing security policies, and contributing to network security projects across on-prem and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and monitor firewalls (physical and virtual), including centralized management through Management Platforms.
- Respond to and resolve Level 2 firewall and security incidents, requests, and changes.
- Perform routine firewall policy reviews and implement rule updates in line with change control procedures.
- Assist in the design and deployment of firewall solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Monitor security logs, reports, and alerts from Management Platforms and investigate anomalies.
- Conduct firewall migrations, software upgrades, and health checks.
- Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure network integrity and security.
- Maintain accurate and updated documentation on firewall configurations, rules, and procedures.
- Participate in audits and compliance-related activities.
- Escalate complex issues to Level 3 engineers or vendors as necessary.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (PA-Series, Panorama, VM-Series).
- PCNSA certification (or higher: PCNSE).
- Proven experience using Strata Cloud Manager for centralized policy and configuration management, health monitoring, and operational insights.
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible) for network operations.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) or packet analysis tools (Wireshark).
- Familiarity with tools like Panorama, Expedition, and CLI-based troubleshooting.
- Exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), especially where integrated with Palo Alto firewalls.
- Familiarity with automation/scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.

Implementation of the the 3 layers within the medallion architecture is required to ensure data storage, data processing and data architecture is sufficient to enable business decisions.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 + years of experience in a data engineering or closely related role.
- Strong programming experience in Python, SQL, and object - oriented programming languages(e.g., Java or Scala).
- Solid experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Databricks, or PySpark.
- Hands - on experience with cloud platforms(e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud - native storage(S3, ADLS, etc.).
- Experience in using Business Intelligence and Data visualisation(PowerBI, Tableau etc.)
- Strong understanding of data lakes, data lakehouses, and the medallion architecture.
- Exposure to data modeling and data warehousing best practices.
- Experience working with data science workflows and integrating ML models into pipelines is a plus.
- Comfortable using version control (e.g., Git), CI / CD pipelines, and infrastructure - as - code practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using modern ELT/ETL tools and practices.
